Job Description SummarySupport the development and review of the program curriculum and competencies to meet current practice standards.
Job DescriptionSupports the program director in ensuring that both didactic instruction and supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) meet current practice standards relevant to the PA role in providing patient care. The medical director is actively involved in developing and reviewing the program competencies and may also participate in activities such as developing the mission statement, providing instructions, evaluating student performance, and designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum and program.
- Ensure the academic quality, clinical relevance, and professional credibility of the program.
- Ensure the program meets high standards of clinical rigor, educational excellence, and professional development.
- Provide a critical link between the classroom, the clinic, and the evolving demands of the healthcare system. Teaching content in the didactic year, up to 8 credit hours per year, and assisting with lab experiences.
Required:
Currently or previously licensed PA or osteopathic or allopathic physician. Must be currently or previously board-certified.
Consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrated familiarity with Physician Associate education at Miami University.
