Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Curriculum Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

Are you skilled at detecting the fine distinctions in a Shakespearean sonnet or analyzing the phonetic composition of a word with precision? Picture applying that linguistic and literary knowledge alongside advanced AI to transform how millions of students learn language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we’re not simply designing the future of English education—we’re building it into an adaptive, immersive learning experience.

We’re looking for a forward‑thinking individual to spearhead our effort to reshape English and Language Arts education through sophisticated data analysis, pioneering AI integration, and comprehensive subject expertise. Your objective? To accelerate the rate at which students acquire language skills and literary analysis capabilities by a factor of two, spanning from foundational phonics to sophisticated literary criticism.

At 2 Hour Learning, we’re redefining K‑12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI‑powered learning platform is reshaping student learning experiences, allowing them to achieve subject mastery at double the pace of conventional schooling. We’re not adjusting the existing system; we’re constructing it anew from its foundation, and our data validates this approach. Students on our platform routinely score 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, exhibit growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and surpass their own expectations of academic achievement.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Identifying patterns in student reading and writing data through AI analysis, converting these discoveries into innovative strategies that transform English language instruction and literary interpretation.
  • Building AI‑driven tools that respond to individual learning preferences, making grammar comprehensible, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis approachable for students across all proficiency levels.
  • Creating adaptive learning sequences that adjust in real‑time, leading students from phonics through complex text interpretation, ensuring every learner advances at their ideal rate.
  • Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, linguists, and AI specialists to expand the possibilities of language education, directly shaping the educational experience of thousands of students.
  • Converting classic and modern literature into interactive, AI‑enriched learning experiences that both educate students and cultivate their enthusiasm for reading and writing.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Overseeing traditional English curriculums or performing administrative duties—this position focuses on innovation and strategic enhancement of language arts instruction and learning within our accelerated framework.
  • Operating independently—you’ll contribute as part of our collaborative team advancing the cutting edge of AI in English education.
  • Concentrating exclusively on theoretical concepts—each AI model you create will have direct consequences for how students comprehend and apply language skills in practical contexts, all within the 2 Hour Learning system.
