Description
This position is a nine-month, full-time, online, non-tenured position.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach four counseling graduate courses per term (Fall and Spring).
- Mentor/Advise students in the counseling programs.
- Serve as Lead Teacher on assigned courses.
- Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators.
Required:
- Candidate must have a Doctorate in Counselor Education and supervision from a CACREP-accredited institution.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching in non-traditional formats (blended and online courses)
- Ongoing, demonstrated involvement in the profession as a counselor educator is expected (e.g., membership in ACA, AMHCA, ACES).
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
- Commitment to quality teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings and in-person residency.
- Proficiency in using a learning management system.
- Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing.
- Experience teaching multi-cultural populations.
- School counseling certification.
