The Position
The Squad Trainer Partner is a critical, high-impact role responsible for developing, delivering, and managing training and continuous education for our field-based Customer Engagement teams on dedicated squad strategies. This home office position serves as the primary training and performance enablement link between the home office, the field, and squad partners ensuring consistent messaging, skill development, and execution of company strategy.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic facilitator, instructional design enthusiast, and proven subject matter expert in therapeutic area methodologies. This role is a key member of the Learning & Skill Development team and will report into the Director of Field/Squad Training Partners.
- Onboarding:
Design and facilitate comprehensive remote and in-person onboarding programs for all new CE hires in the assigned therapeutic area, ensuring they are proficient in clinical product knowledge, company processes, and customer engagement standards. - Continuous
Education:
Develop and deliver ongoing training modules (webinars, in-person workshops, e-learning) on topics including new product launches, competitive updates, compliance, and product information, based on FDA approved guidelines. - Facilitation:
Act as a high-energy, credible facilitator for live training sessions, including regional squad meetings and national training events. - Certification:
Develop and execute certification strategies across all commercial field roles, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Incorporate diverse perspectives into learning and certification recommendations
- Needs Assessment:
Conduct regular training needs analyses through field observations, data analysis, and collaboration with Regional Managers & Squad Learning Business Partners to identify skill gaps and performance opportunities. Partner with internal LSD teams to track and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives to identify skill gaps and performance opportunities. - Field
Coaching:
Perform scheduled and ad‑hoc field visits/ride‑along to observe CE team members, provide immediate and constructive coaching, and model effective customer engagement behaviors. - Performance Support:
Partner with HEDs, HDs, and Squad Leaders to create and implement targeted development plans for individuals and teams needing focused improvement on driving on‑label clinical demand and contributing to the overall national strategy.
- SME Partnership:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) liaison between the field, Squad Learning Business Partners, and Therapeutic Area Squads to translate complex information into clear, actionable training content. - Curriculum Management:
Maintain and update training materials, job aids, and the Learning Management System (LMS) content to ensure accuracy and relevance. Invent new approaches to improve, enhance, or scale the delivery of learning, particularly through the development of executive presence in leaders across GNE, new technologies (AI, etc). - Measurement:
Track and report on key training effectiveness metrics (e.g., knowledge checks, post-training performance data), analyze root cause of business problems, and provide recommendations for program refinement.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field;
- You have 2+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with facilitation experience.
- You have 3+ years demonstrated experience leading deliverables across a remote team, and can quickly organize functional teams to design and develop learning projects.
- Customer Engagement Expertise: 2+ years of proven background in delivering highly technical/scientific data to small and large groups.
- Instructional Design:
Foundational knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). - Facilitation:
