Department Summary
The Office of the Provost (OtP) upholds, provides leadership on, and carries out the academic mission of the University. In service to this mission, the office: promotes and sustains the highest standards in teaching, research and service; fosters and advocates for faculty; promotes a respectful work environment, equity and inclusion, and a family-friendly workplace; supports and coordinates matters that pertain to faculty and academics, including hiring, retention, promotion, and tenure processes;
advances university outreach to the community, academic extension, and internationalization.
UO Online, a unit within the Office of the Provost (OtP), provides leadership and support for the development and delivery of high-quality online courses and programs. UO Online partners with academic units to inform UO policy for online offerings, build predictable infrastructure, guide enrollment management, and explore emerging online program opportunities. UO Online provides direct faculty support such as instructional design, technology support, and media production.
UO Online offers direct student support such as exam proctoring and a one-stop call center. In addition to direct support, UO Online creates opportunities for faculty to dialog with colleagues and improve online teaching practices through workshops and faculty forums.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing the recruitment process for all online professional master's programs. Operating in a collaborative environment, this position reports to the UO Online Director and works closely with online program directors, Communication staff, and the Division of Graduate Studies. This position plays a key role in determining appropriate recruitment, communication, and outreach strategies in collaboration with online program directors, Communication staff, and the Division of Graduate Studies.
Additionally, this position is responsible for connecting students with appropriate resources for general program and scholarship application support prior to program entry.
With respect to recruitment, the UO Online Graduate Recruiter is responsible for allotting roughly equal percentages of support for all online professional master's programs. Current programs include Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, and Immersive Media Communication.
