About Keiki CodersKeiki Coders provides enrichment programs to K-12 students across Oahu. We operate at 17 schools, helping kids discover new passions through hands‑on learning experiences.
We started with coding and STEM — from Scratch and robotics to AI‑powered app development — and have expanded into creative arts like digital storytelling, as well as non‑STEM enrichment including K‑pop dance and sports programs.
We’re looking for someone to help us run our day‑to‑day operations while supporting growth initiatives across outreach, marketing, and teacher development.
About the RoleWe're looking for an Operations Manager to be our “boots on the ground” across our school sites. You’ll be the connective tissue between schools, teachers, and our leadership team — ensuring programs run smoothly and teachers have what they need to succeed.
This is a dynamic hybrid role. Some weeks you’ll be visiting schools and observing teachers. Other weeks you’ll be building marketing materials, onboarding new instructors, or handling parent communications from home. Every week is different.
During program hours (typically 2‑6 pm on school days), you’ll be the on‑call coordinator — the first point of contact when anything needs attention. Outside of those hours, you’ll focus on outreach, teacher recruiting, marketing, and other projects.
We value flexibility and balance. There are natural down periods throughout the year (between semesters, school breaks) where the pace is lighter. When busier weeks happen, we balance it out with time off during slower periods.
What You’ll DoOperations & Coordination
- Serve as on‑call coordinator during program hours (2‑6 pm, mostly passive/responsive)
- Coordinate substitute coverage when teachers are unavailable
- Observe teachers and provide coaching and feedback
- Handle escalated parent or school concerns
- Ensure equipment and materials get where they need to be
- Oversee teacher onboarding and training
Growth & Outreach
- Execute school outreach to bring on new partner schools
- Run school onboarding using our established systems
- Build and maintain teacher hiring pipeline (UH, KCC, Indeed, etc.)
- Manage school relationships and serve as primary contact for administrators
Marketing & Programs
- Manage Instagram page and social media presence
- Coordinate back‑to‑school nights and community events
- Handle flyer distribution and grassroots marketing
- Coordinate t‑shirt printing and branded materials
- Support weekend programs and community partnerships (Keiki Athletes, YMCA, community service events)
Curriculum & Communications
- Assist with curriculum development and refinement
- Draft and send parent communications
- Document processes as we improve our systems
Schedule & Work Environment
- Hybrid: 60% remote / 40% in‑person (school visits, observations, events)
- Hours: 30‑45 hours/week depending on program needs (we don’t anticipate consistent 40+ hour weeks)
- Weekdays: On‑call during program hours (2‑6 pm), flexible daytime hours for outreach and projects
- Weekends: Weekend commitments for new program development, community events, and back‑to‑school nights (will balance schedule if working weekends)
- Summer: More intensive, on‑site presence at camp locations (typically 8 am‑3 pm) for approximately 6 weeks
- Down Periods: Lighter workload after semester start, between semesters and during school breaks
- Balance: When weekend or evening commitments come up, we’ll balance it with flexibility during the week
Must‑Haves
- Some experience in operations, education, youth programs, customer service, or related field (college seniors graduating soon are welcome to apply)

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions
- Proactive self‑starter who anticipates needs
- Own a car with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficient with Google Workspace and comfortable learning new tools
- Available during program hours (2‑6 pm weekdays) for on‑call coordination
- Flexibility for regular weekend program commitments
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Experience with Hawaii public or private schools
- Background in STEM education or youth enrichment programs
- Sales, outreach, or relationship‑building experience
- Social media and marketing skills
- Familiarity with Airtable, Slack, Canva, or similar tools
- Connections to local universities (UH, KCC) for teacher recruiting
- Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually (based on experience)
- Mileage reimbursement for travel between sites
- Flexible hybrid schedule – work from home when not needed on‑site
- Natural down periods – lighter pace during school breaks and between semesters
- Growth opportunity – take on more responsibility as the company grows
