What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Provide expert guidance across all major Head Start content areas, including education, health, mental health, and social services
  • Utilize OHS systems for tracking, documentation, and analysis of programmatic needs
  • Develop custom solutions and specialized work plans tailored to Office of Head Start requirements
  • Prepare clear summaries, data briefs, and presentations for OHS leadership
  • Deliver training and briefings on governance, program management, and fiscal operations
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in early childhood education, public administration, social sciences, public policy, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Head Start/Early Head Start programs or federal early childhood initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience supporting federal program initiatives or high-priority national projects
  • 2+ years of experience providing training or technical assistance in early childhood governance or fiscal oversight
  • US government‑issued security clearance required (will be initiated upon hire)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Deep knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and operations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret programmatic and operational data
  • Exceptional written communication skills for federal‑style guidance and documentation
  • Experience developing technical assistance tools and templates used at scale
  • Familiarity with tracking and workflow tools like HSES or Smartsheet
