Stride K12 TX partner schools (TXSS). This is a full-time remote position.
Responsibilities include serving as the English Language Learner (ELL) Compliance Specialist, acting as a Case Manager/Meeting Facilitator for a caseload of ELL students, ensuring all compliance documents, district-approved ELL processes, data collection procedures, and monitoring academic progress of ELL students. The position may require travel up to 25% (on average once per month) for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and as required by the school.
A base salary around $52,000 with eligibility for a performance bonus is offered. Strong preference for Texas residents; may consider residents of surrounding states. Some travel and a remote work setup are expected.

- Facilitate ELL meetings to monitor student growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom
- Work with local/regional/national teams and teacher trainers regarding instruction, resources, interventions, and data-driven decision making
- Collaborate on all progress, semester, and grade reports
- Take ownership for students’ academic progress and attendance, set high expectations, and show active interest in students’ achievement
- Be open to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicate with students and learning coaches/parents
- Understand how diverse characteristics of students and their families impact required support
- Work with other teachers to ensure progression of ELL students, with parents as a central point of contact and tasks distributed among stakeholders
- Respond to students, parents, and colleagues in a timely manner
- Travel to testing sites to proctor state exams
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field AND
- One (1) year of ELL teacher experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid state ESL teaching certification.

- Pedagogical knowledge of content and ability to apply critical thinking
- Knowledge of state content standards and ability to align with the K12 curriculum
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
- Ability to problem solve independently and maintain a high level of organization
- Understanding of how tight deadlines on multiple projects can impact others
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday
- Ability to travel as required (average up to 25% of the time) for face-to-face professional development and testing
- Access to reliable high-speed internet
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word;
Power Point - Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Ability to maintain teaching certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum
- Ability to clear required background check
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
- Experience working in a virtual environment
- Experience teaching in online and/or brick-and-mortar environments
- Experience with Blackboard Collaborate, Newrow, or other online platforms
