Special Education Tutor

Overview

A child‑centred company committed to reimagining the world of support for vulnerable young people. We offer SEND tutors and teachers to help pupils and students from KS1‑KS5 through flexible, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring.

• CPD and employee mentoring: access to the TES CPD suite and a professional mentor.
• Support the SEND Support Team to maintain a team around you and the child.
• Engage in community and company events for knowledge sharing and resources.
• Run a referral programme to get rewarded for successful tutor referrals.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Plan, deliver and adapt tutoring in core subjects, primarily Maths, English or Science, for pupils with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
• Maintain a safe, safeguarding‑aware learning environment.

• Core subject:
  Maths, English or Science.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS (can be facilitated) and 2 or more professional references.
• Right to work in the UK and based in the UK (remote/online roles available).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Salary: £28‑£35 per hour (contract role).
