Overview
Would you like to join a charity supporting 16 - 25-year-olds to gain skills to help them in the workplace? You will be working for a national charity that delivers supported internships for young people with autism or a learning disability. The programme provides classroom-based learning (employability and functional skills) combined with a work experience placement, and supports the young person throughout the process.
Responsibilities- Typically, you will have one admin day per week working from home.
- One day in classroom-based work as a teaching assistant.
- Three days visiting young people in the workplace, helping them understand the role and liaising with the employer for feedback and discussing any workplace adjustments.
- Support young people with the practicalities of getting to and from work.
- Coordinate with learners and employers, who are typically in the Worcester area.
- Experience of working with young people, ideally with SEND, autism, or learning disabilities.
- This role would suit a teaching assistant looking for a change, or a youth worker, employment advisor, or job coach.
- Driving is essential for this role.
