Ops Technician

Eligibility

The IS Ops Technician provides project management and in‑house technical support for the Learning Management System (LMS) and related training technologies for the Alaska Training Cooperative (ATC). The role supports the workforce training mission of the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority beneficiaries.

The position will:

• Manage the LMS and other technical systems needed to maintain the workforce training mission.
• Provide project management and support for training initiatives.
• Deliver customer‑service support to learners of varying abilities, including non‑traditional learners and learners with disabilities.
• Work collaboratively with partners and track multiple projects.

• Associate’s degree in information technology or a related field and at least three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with mid‑level Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with tracking and workflow using registration or learning‑management systems.
• Experience with project management.
• Experience providing support/customer service for people of varying levels of abilities and experience.

Location:

University of Alaska campus, Anchorage (flexible on‑site/hybrid arrangements may be considered).

Employment:
Full‑time, term‑funded, non‑exempt staff. New hires are placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78 based on education and experience.
