What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Modify and adapt the curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
  • Write and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to achieve student goals
  • Educate parents on instructional strategies and support student learning
  • Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and proctor required testing
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License
  • Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass a required background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience in Special Education
  • Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Special Education
  • 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education
