Job SummaryThe Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for instructors for the 2026 Math Corps UM-Dearborn summer camp and Super Saturdays. The applicant must have high grades (on the supplied school transcript) in mathematics courses.
Students will be required to mentor teams of college, middle school, and high school students. This involves giving lectures on mathematical topics and monitoring the students throughout the day, grading assignments and recording grades, supervising students at afternoon activities, and monitoring students' arrival and dismissal.
Responsibilities*- Explaining algebraic topics to middle school students
- Developing a strong mathematical relationship with their team.
- Attend an afternoon debriefing session with the camp director.
- Monitor students throughout the day.
Super Saturdays program will run Saturdays only from 9:00AM - 1:00PM. The program dates are March 28, April 4, 11, 18, and 25.
Math Corps camp will run Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The camp dates are Monday, July 6th through Thursday, August 6th.
