You have tackled the toughest problems. Now apply that expertise where it matters most: empowering gifted students to compete, qualify, and achieve victory. GT School serves families seeking more than strong report cards. We prepare gifted learners through authentic challenges: national and international contests, publicly visible results, and accomplishments that students carry into their futures. This position exists because our mathematics program succeeds only when students emerge from each session more capable, more confident, and fully prepared for competitive conditions.
OverviewThis is not a standard tutoring position. You will facilitate live virtual workshops designed to challenge high-performing students, deliver focused contest preparation for competitions such as AMC and AIME, and develop scalable resources that elevate standards across GT Anywhere and GT campuses. If you excel at transforming raw ability into documented success and can communicate complex concepts with precision, this role will suit you well.
If you possess a verifiable history of mathematical achievement and wish to shape the next generation of champions, we invite your application.
What You Will Be Doing- Plan and facilitate 2–4 live virtual domain workshops weekly that cultivate competition-grade mathematical reasoning
- Provide 1:1 or small-group coaching for targeted contests through mock examinations, timed practice, and comprehensive feedback
- Identify skill gaps quickly and develop individualized growth plans aligned with each student's objectives and competition calendar
- Monitor student advancement using a structured math development framework and refine teaching methods based on data
- Develop original, challenging problem collections and modular instructional materials designed for reuse by other educators at scale
- Provide general homework assistance or grade-focused tutoring without defined, measurable results
- Conduct conventional classroom instruction limited to standard curriculum boundaries
- Offer unstructured problem-solving sessions lacking strategy, feedback mechanisms, or competition pathways
- Rely on duplicated or insufficiently rigorous materials that fail to meet competitive mathematics standards

- Capacity to present advanced mathematical concepts in clear, accessible terms to gifted young students
- Thorough knowledge of mathematics competition structures, content areas, and preparation methods (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads)
- Effective virtual instruction skills and ability to maintain student engagement via video
- Availability for 5–10 hours weekly
- Dependable internet connection and professional video conferencing setup
- Ongoing, recent participation as a competitor, coach, or creator of competition-oriented content
- Background developing reusable instructional libraries, problem banks, or curricula for use by fellow educators
- Track record of student achievements including qualifications, rankings, medals, or other publicly recognized competition results
