The RoleWe are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and reliable tutor to deliver in-person, home-based tuition for IBDP Psychology and/or IBDP Biology students in Singapore.
This role involves travelling to the student’s residence to provide highly personalised 1-to-1 support aligned with the latest IB syllabus and assessment criteria.
Availability during weekday afternoons/evenings and/or weekends is required.
You must be currently living in Singapore and legally authorised to work here. We do not sponsor visas for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured, high-quality 1-to-1 lessons in IBDP Psychology and/or Biology
- Teach in alignment with IB assessment objectives and mark scheme language
- Develop students’ critical thinking, evaluation skills, and exam technique
- Support Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs), where appropriate
- Diagnose misconceptions and personalise instruction accordingly
- Assign targeted exam-style questions and provide detailed feedback
- Track academic progress and communicate professionally with parents
- Maintain JF Smart Learning’s high academic and professional standards
- Strong subject expertise in IBDP Psychology and/or Biology
- Prior experience teaching IB Diploma students (school or tuition setting)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject (Master’s preferred)
- Excellent ability to explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
- Confident understanding of IB command terms, assessment criteria, and mark schemes
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore
- Must be willing and able to travel to students’ homes for tuition
- Strong undergraduates with proven IB tutoring experience may also apply
