Tutor; Temporary

Position: 1:1 Tutor (Temporary)
1:1 Home Tutor for students based in Lambeth
Classroom Teachers Ltd are looking to recruit tutors to tutor either Primary or Secondary students that are based in Lambeth, South London.
The students are not currently not attending education establishments for a variety of reasons including behaviour, medical, SEN needs etc.
The position runs term time only, and we have continuous referrals all year round which we aim to fill as quick as possible. The hours of work are generally set each week (tutor and parent are able to liaise to find the best fit) and depending on the student the timings can be between 2-3hrs each day. You are also able to take on two students per day (15 hours per week each), making the hours full time.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* 1:1 Tutor - Library or home based (South London)

* Up to £39.67ph

* Long-term contract, temporary position

* Teaching Primary or Secondary students with SEN or students currently not attending school, on a 1:1 basis at home or in a library

* Providing a stimulating & enjoyable learning environment

* Providing 1:1 sessions teaching English, Maths and Science if applicable.

* Half termly reports on progress

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Qualified Teacher or experienced tutor able to follow National Curriculum

* For some students, previous SEN experience or advanced understanding of SEN, especially ASD would be useful

* You must be passionate, enthusiastic and caring towards children

* Able to engage students in their own homes or libraries

* Able to communicate with parents/guardians

* Able to inspire young adults

* DBS on the update service or willing to get a new one
