* South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks to establish a pool of highly motivated and qualified candidates for part-time or Adjunct Nursing Professors who can place student success at the center of all decision-making and demonstrate a positive attitude towards supporting the development of our nursing workforce.
The Nursing Adjunct Professor will:
* Place student success at the center of all decision-making.
* Engage with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to create a community of learners.
* Seek opportunities for teaching and learning excellence.

* Respect the richness of diverse cultural values, beliefs, and practices of others.
* Contribute to the technical and general education of students who will apply learning to the world of work and transfer their education to a university.

* Demonstrate competence and sensitivity in working at South Puget Sound Community College, in which students, faculty, and staff are broadly diverse with regard to many facets of identity, including but not limited to gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.

Adjunct Nursing Professors will work with other faculty, staff, and administrators to:
* Create and facilitate contextualized and integrated learning experiences in relation to identified college pathways that are linked to nursing career goals
* Develop authentic assessments of student knowledge, skills, and abilities in nursing that measure course, program, and college-wide outcomes; evaluate student learning in assigned settings (classroom, lab, clinical)
* Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies that promote the affective, cognitive, and kinesthetic domains of learning
* Support students in and out of the classroom, including directing them toward campus services and resources
* Be available to teach classes on a variety of days and times, predominantly on pre-arranged times and dates to meet program needs
* Select clients for students to work with before they arrive for the clinical day
* Effectively communicate strengths and opportunities for student growth and outcome achievement
* Implement curriculum as designed and approved; provide feedback to faculty regarding implementation of curriculum
* Proctor examinations and other assessments as identified in the syllabus
