Job SummaryYou will manage comprehensive cataloguing processes and metadata creation for both printed and digital library resources, ensuring accurate bibliographic information to support resource accessibility and user engagement.
Responsibilities- Apply full and copy cataloguing techniques to organize library materials for efficient retrieval and management
- Develop and edit metadata for digital resources including ebooks, audiovisual materials, special collections, and photographs to enhance discoverability
- Create and update bibliographic records for printed and digital materials to maintain accurate and comprehensive library databases
- Utilize knowledge of AACR2, LCSH, MARC
21, and DDC standards to ensure cataloguing consistency and compliance - Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and patience to maintain high-quality cataloguing outputs
- Degree or Diploma in Library Studies or Information Studies (Critical)
- Experience in cataloguing or library operations to support effective resource management
- Positions available:
Full Time and Part Time - Work arrangements:
Work from Home (Singapore) for experienced candidates;
