Overview
Elite competitors—Olympians, World Champions, D1 First Team All-Americans—understand what it takes to reach the top. The question is: can you convert that championship mindset into concrete coaching methods that elevate students into top performers?
Texas Sports Academy is where your competitive career transitions into shaping future champions. This isn't about observing from the edge—it's about daily, hands-on coaching that challenges students to surpass their perceived boundaries. You won't simply recount your achievements. Instead, you'll distill elite athletic principles into practical motivation frameworks, deliver resilience training through interactive workshops, and lead rigorous practice sessions where every participant is expected to meet championship benchmarks.
Austin provides consistent outdoor training conditions, a dynamic sports ecosystem, and a purpose-centered environment where your high-level athletic background directly fuels the development of emerging leaders.
Lead with intention. Drive real change. Submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing- Conducting targeted 1:1 coaching sessions that convert your competitive athletic principles into concrete, executable strategies for student growth
- Delivering high-impact morning assemblies designed to energize and engage the full student community
- Leading interactive life skills workshops where you guide students hands-on through exercises in resilience, leadership development, and strategic goal-setting
- Directing structured athletic training sessions that embody championship culture: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and instilling perseverance and collaboration through athletic practice (not mere supervision)
- Maintaining continuous engagement with all students: moving through the facility during self-directed study periods, stepping in to inspire when students face obstacles, and generating on-the-spot learning opportunities that catalyze breakthroughs
- Observing passively from a distance: this role is not symbolic. You will be directly involved—leading sessions, engaging students face-to-face, and intervening as situations unfold.
- Delivering conventional classroom instruction or adhering to fixed curricula: students use adaptive learning technology for academics. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and developing transferable skills through athletics and mentorship.
- We are looking for former elite-level athletes with verified achievement at the pinnacle of their sport — including Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
- Four-year degree (any discipline)
- Documented experience leveraging sport to guide and develop life skills in others
- Evidence of motivational leadership within athletic, educational, or professional environments
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Prepared to reside in or move to Austin, TX

The rest of their day is dedicated to athletic training, skill-building, and personal development - so students excel in both their studies and their sport.
