Competing at the pinnacle of sport—whether as an Olympian, World Champion, or D1 First Team All-American—requires unwavering discipline. The question is whether you can convert those lessons into targeted coaching methods that drive students to excel.
At Texas Sports Academy, your field of impact shifts to developing champions—not from the sidelines, but through direct coaching that pushes students past their perceived boundaries daily. You won't simply recount your achievements. Instead, you'll convert elite-level discipline into practical motivational frameworks, deliver resilience training through interactive workshops, and lead rigorous practice sessions where championship standards are non-negotiable.
Austin provides consistent outdoor training conditions, a vibrant athletic community, and a purpose-centered environment where your elite background becomes the cornerstone for mentoring emerging leaders.
Coach with intention. Drive change through engagement. Submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing- Conducting focused 1:1 coaching sessions where you convert your competitive background into concrete, executable strategies for student development
- Leading dynamic morning assemblies that energize the full student population
- Delivering interactive life skills workshops where you guide students through practical exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal development
- Directing organized afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic activity (not merely overseeing recreation)
- Continuously interacting with students throughout each day: moving through spaces during self-directed learning periods, stepping in to encourage students experiencing difficulty, and generating instructional opportunities that catalyze transformative thinking
- Observing passively from a distance: this is not a symbolic or honorary position. You will be directly involved with students, leading sessions, and making real-time interventions.
- Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to textbook curricula: students use adaptive technology for academics. Your focus is life coaching, inspiration, and developing transferable skills through athletics and mentorship.
- We are looking for former elite-level athletes who have competed at sport's highest tier — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Documented experience leveraging athletics to mentor and develop life skills
- Evidence of motivational leadership in competitive, educational, or professional contexts
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
