Schedule & Location:
Part-time description. Schedule works well even if you already have a daytime job. Remote work must be performed while residing in California or New Mexico. CIAT campus locations are San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM.

Variable-Hour (Part-Time)
- Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week.
- Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning and engagement.
- Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs, where appropriate.
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students via a synchronous online format (Microsoft Teams).
- Maintain current certifications in subjects taught.
- Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or discipline.
- Connect subject matter with related fields.
- Stay current in subject matter through professional development, involvement in professional organizations, and attendance at meetings, conferences, or workshops.
- Ensure Student Database is fully updated and accurate regarding student attendance and grade records.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation related to instructional quality, class hours, and CIAT policies and procedures.
- Promote collaboration with other staff and participate in new projects and ideas.
- Adhere to CIAT business casual attire; refer to CIAT Employee Handbook for the complete policy. Clothing should be neat, clean, and without rips or holes. Polo shirts acceptable.
- Information Technology Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s degree or higher (from an accredited institution) and certification in the subject being taught.
- Certifications we are looking for:
CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CGRC, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Pen Test+ (hourly ranges provided in the job description). - At least three years’ experience in the respective field of Cyber, Network and Information Security, or two years of teaching experience.
- At least three years’ experience in the field or two years of teaching experience.
- Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
- Advanced subject matter expertise with commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in the field.
- Effective presentation, communication, and technology skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning tools such as Canvas.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high level of dependability.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems rapidly and effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success and foster an inclusive culture.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education.
- Ability to deliver engaging lesson plans that meet diverse student needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ethical professional standards.
- Compliance with all college policies, including academic integrity and student conduct.

Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday, with possible weekend or evening hours.…
