. Grade 7, £44,746 – £56,535 per annum pro rata. Fixed Term until end of March 2027, 35 hours per week.
We are inviting applications for a Lecturer in Undergraduate Fashion Design to provide a challenging and supportive learning experience for students on the BA(Hons) Fashion Design programme. The role involves delivering world‑class teaching, contributing to academic development of the programme and supporting the overall vision of the School of Design at the Glasgow School of Art.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and support undergraduate students through the BA(Hons) Fashion Design curriculum, guiding them from initial concept development through to full 3D realisation.
- Design and deliver curriculum, assess student work and support ongoing development of the programme.
- Engage with quality assurance and enhancement processes, staying aware of current debates, trends and issues within the discipline.
- Act as a practitioner and/or researcher, contributing to the School’s research themes.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with significant experience teaching Fashion Design at undergraduate level in Higher Education.
- Strong track record in curriculum design, delivery, assessment and programme development.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (or equivalent) is essential, or willingness to undertake an appropriate teaching qualification.
- Excellent awareness of current debates, trends and issues within the discipline, with active engagement as a practitioner and/or researcher.
