Overview
Digital History - Adjunct Instructor. SUNY Empire State University seeks an adjunct professor to develop, teach, and provide professional development for a new fully online course in digital history. The course introduces students to the theories and practices of digital history, exploring virtual exhibits, digital and traditional archives, storytelling tools, mapping technologies, computational analyses of text, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence.
This is a non‑classroom, fully online position that does not require residence in New York State.
- Master’s degree in history (Ph.D. preferred)
- Experience in digital history, digital scholarship, or related fields
- Proficiency in teaching or presenting in an online environment
- Full‑time work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
Compensation is a special projects stipend of $6,000 for developing and teaching the course during one semester.
