Are you looking to support young parents and their children in a home-based program? The Parents as Teachers (PAT) program is looking for highly motivated, creative and passionate professionals to work with families as they address child development and promote family wellness. MSPCC, a division of Eliot, offers comprehensive health and vacation benefits, tuition reimbursement, and extensive training that will prepare you for any entry-level Early Childhood/ Human Services position!
In this role, you will provide personalized support and guidance in the family’s home that teach parents about proper baby care, promote nurturing and attachment, effective parenting skills, and provide parents with information about healthy child development.
You will be working with our Parents As Teachers program, a parenting education initiative designed to help create a stable, nurturing environment for their child.
Responsibilities:
- Educate parents on optimal health, growth, and development during infancy and early childhood
- Encourage positive parenting skills, enhance parental health and wellness, and improve educational attainment
- Assist parents with in setting and achieving goals related to education, work and housing
- Connect families with essential community resources, including educational, employment, financial, housing, and medical services
- Encourage co-parent involvement in program groups and activities
Qualifications:
- Requires a High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working children and families
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
- Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increase
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with flexibility needed for occasional program requirements
Hourly Rate
$20.60 - $21.75 USD
