Opportunity

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SPAC 330
- Spaceflight and Operations Training. Course

Description:

Introduction of astronaut and cosmonaut selection and training showing strong parallels with military pilot selection and training, including the rapid evolution of manned space flight training. Current selection techniques and Spaceflight and Operations Training programs examined along with the training center facilities and shared training techniques used for International Space Station crews. Examination of commercial training programs already in place and planned.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Responsibilities

Teach SPAC 330 - Spaceflight and Operations Training.

Qualifications
  • Applicable Professional Certification:
    Rated/certified military operations officer or civil equivalent for Space Operations, Aeronautical training programs or experience in training development or training course management or any professional certification related to operational training programs.
  • Desired Professional Training or

    Experience:

    Instructors should have specific professional experience, which may include research and scholarship, related to Space Operations, Aeronautical training programs or experience in training development, training course management, appropriate certification and licensure and must have experience in Space Operations, Aeronautical training programs or experience in training development or training course management, and/or application/operation or appropriate certification and licensure.
  • Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline:
    Aerospace, Aeronautical, Aeronautics, Aviation, Aerospace Science and Technology, Space Operations, Other – With documented experience.
