You know how to argue, persuade, and win. Now you will coach talented students who want tournament victories, not just speaking practice. If you hold genuine debate credentials and can deliver coaching under real pressure, this will be the right environment for you.
GT School develops high-performing learners through competition and accountability. Students enter serious circuits, secure portfolio-worthy placements, and demonstrate measurable skill. This position is designed to convert raw talent into tangible outcomes: tighter arguments, smarter strategy, cleaner execution, and more finalist appearances.
You will lead live virtual workshops, prepare students for specific formats (such as Public Forum and Lincoln‑Douglas), and develop reusable curriculum materials for use by other instructors. This is not a casual speaking enrichment program. You will be measured by results, and you will have the autonomy to teach at an advanced level.
If you are ready to transfer hard‑won expertise, build confidence in gifted K–8 learners, and contribute to the development of future champions, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Be Doing- Conduct 2–4 live virtual debate workshops weekly that are dynamic, participatory, and centered on students actively engaging in debate
- Prepare tournament‑ready students using mock rounds, targeted drills, and personalized feedback matched to their format and approach
- Teach advanced concepts in argumentation, cross‑examination, and rebuttal technique through structured, accessible instruction
- Support research and case construction so students develop stronger arguments aligned with current topics and competitive standards
- Develop and improve reusable curriculum materials, topic guides, and evaluation rubrics that elevate program quality
- Deliver generic public speaking courses or confidence‑building sessions without clear competitive results
- Facilitate lecture‑heavy classes where students passively observe rather than actively debate
- Offer vague or generalized coaching that overlooks judging standards, scoring systems, and format‑specific tactics
- Produce single‑use content that lacks reusability or becomes outdated relative to current topics and norms
