Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience recruiting students for educational opportunities.
- Ability to travel extensively (in and out of state) throughout the academic year, primarily in southwestern Michigan.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Purpose
Ensure that prospective students are recruited, admitted, and oriented to the university and assist in the facilitation of recruitment, yield, and transition programs.
This is a remote position based in Kalamazoo, Michigan or the surrounding area. The employee must have a home office space in Kalamazoo or the surrounding area, with reliable, high-speed internet and telephone access. A laptop, printer and basic office supplies will be provided; the employee will need to furnish other office space needs beyond these items. OU will provide a rental vehicle during peak recruitment travel periods.
Mileage will be given when personal vehicle usage is necessary outside of the peak recruitment season, when a rental is not provided.
