**** The Role at a Glance
** The Agency Instructor I, under direction, will assist in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a specified program.  Will utilize his/her knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. Will perform online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or may provide technical assistance in a specialty area.

Will use a variety of media to present course material.  May assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learner needs.

The instructor is expected to maintain their technical competence and skills and will report to the Training Coordinator/Manager. The Agency Instructor I must reside in Texas Region 3 (.)
** Qualifications of the Role
*** Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
* Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
* This position is located in Region 3. (.)
*** TCEQ Sponsor Requirements
** One year of experience in training adults, and 60 hours of classroom instructional experience OR  Completion of approved Instructor training courses in:  1. Methods of Teaching OR Effective Instructional Techniques  AND  2. Instructional Design and Evaluation OR Organizational and Use of Training Materials
** Equivalency:
Will consider an associate’s degree and five years of experience or a high school diploma/GED and seven years of experience. Must also have all TCEQ, bilingual, and license/certification requirements.
** Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
* Texas Class "B" Water license.
* Texas Class "B" Wastewater license or Wastewater Collection II or III.The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is an internationally recognized leader in emergency response training, workforce training, and technical assistance.
