Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher, Elementary School
You recognize the turning point—when a student stops second-guessing and begins reading with confidence. They meet your eyes and say, "I can do this." If this is the work you want to engage in daily, this position will suit you.
Prequel operates as a remote-first online school focused on genuine progress rather than time logged. We're rethinking student learning so they advance more quickly, find satisfaction in the process, and graduate with demonstrable confidence.
In most weeks, you'll deliver focused intervention sessions. The remainder, you'll conduct brief motivation touchpoints that keep students aligned and reaching benchmarks. This position fits individuals who value independence, immediate feedback, and visible results. It s not designed for those seeking a rigid template or who prefer to avoid data-driven instruction.
If your goal is to help struggling readers achieve substantial improvement—and you value the flexibility to customize your methods for each learner—we d welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

- Adapt activities across varying reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
- Monitor progress using clear, systematic methods and leverage data to inform subsequent sessions
- Facilitate structured motivation touchpoints that foster confidence, perseverance, and pride in development
- Deliver large, whole-group lessons or present from a static curriculum
- Implement a pre-scripted program without responding to student needs and immediate feedback
- Serve as a passive "software monitor" lacking meaningful instruction and personal connection
- Depend on superficial rewards that fail to cultivate enduring motivation
