Nottinghamshire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) invites applications for three Trainee Educational Psychologist positions, starting September 2026, for current Year 1 Trainee EPs on a recognised doctoral training programme. We offer a supportive, strengths-based team environment where peer support, collaborative practice and professional development are highly valued. The role involves engaging with schools, families, and partnership agencies to deliver assessment, intervention and training, all within a framework that emphasizes positive psychology and social justice.
Contributions to research, organisational change, and creative project work are also encouraged.,
- Attend and actively contribute to the EPS team, supporting EPs, Trainee EPs and Assistant EPs in service delivery.
- Deliver assessments and interventions tailored to individual children and families, using a strengths-based, collaborative approach.
- Collaborate with schools and educational partners to promote inclusive educational practice and improve standards for SEND provision.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including peer supervision, whole-service training sessions and individual CPD programmes.
- Participate in research, organisational change and creative project initiatives that support service improvement.
Currently in Year 1 of a recognised doctoral training programme in educational psychology. - Commitment to a professional framework that emphasises positive, collaborative psychology.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote work.
- Clearance via Disclosure and Barring Service check and safeguarding/training requirements.
