Founded in 2004, Top Score Education is a highly respected boutique tutoring and test-prep company serving the Washington, D.C., metro area, North Carolina, South Florida, and select clients nationwide. We specialize in truly personalized 1-on-1 tutoring (in-home and virtual) and are known for building deep, trusting relationships that drive exceptional academic results.

We re expanding our DC-area team and seeking exceptional part-time SAT/ACT tutors who are passionate about unlocking top scores for driven high school students.

This is highly rewarding, top-paying work with complete schedule flexibility, perfect alongside grad school, teaching, or other commitments, plus genuine opportunities to grow into multi-subject tutoring, leadership roles, and long-term career development with our company.

In-home tutoring throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia (DMV area). Tutors must live in or near the region and have reliable transportation.

• Primarily weekday evenings (4-10 PM) and weekends
• Minimum commitment: 8 tutoring hours/week (example: 1-2 weekday evenings + one weekend day)
• You control your availability; we match you with families that fit your schedule

• Deliver engaging 2-hour private SAT/ACT sessions in students  homes
• Design tailored lesson plans that target each student s unique strengths and weaknesses
• Build strong rapport with students and parents through clear, proactive communication
• Collaborate with our team to track progress and continuously improve strategies
• Complete our comprehensive paid training program (50-60 hours), widely regarded as one of the best in the industry

• Scored 96th percentile or higher on the SAT and/or ACT
• 2+ years of successful SAT/ACT tutoring experience
• Genuinely enjoy connecting with teenagers and celebrating their wins
• Extremely reliable, organized, and responsive (this is non-negotiable; we protect our reputation fiercely)
• Excited to be part of a collaborative team rather than a lone-wolf freelancer

• Starting pay: $55-$88/hour (experienced SAT/ACT tutors start at the higher end)
• Top performers with tenure regularly reach $90-$100+/hour
• Travel bonus for sessions >30 minutes from your home
