Overview

The University Of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Online Enrollment & Prior Learning Assessment Specialist, UNLV University Registrar - Operations [R0150438]. The role will support UNLV’s efforts to grow its online academic offerings and to increase and serve a growing transfer student population. The position sits in the Graduation & Transfer Student Services unit of the Office of the Registrar with a dotted line to the Scheduling and Operations Team.

It also involves partnering with the Office of Online Education to manage enrollments in online class sections and programs and with the Office of Admissions on prior learning-related initiatives aligned with UNLV’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

The Specialist will:

- monitor enrollment in online class sections to ensure capacity for fully online programs and those taking online classes; implement short-term fixes for current enrollments as needed; work with academic departments and colleges on future enrollment planning; and review and implement prior learning and alternative credentialing options to expand access through non-traditional methods.

- collaborate with Registrar leadership and academic departments to create opportunities for prior learning for prospective students.

- provide basic one-on-one services to online students while taking a strategic view on how the university can best support online learners.

- work closely within the Offices of the Registrar and Online Education with Scheduling & Operations, Front Desk, and with the Employer Benefits Program Manager and Associate Vice Provost for Online Strategies; develop and maintain cross-campus relationships with schedulers and colleagues across colleges, schools, and units.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or CHEA and 3 – 5 Years of Related Professional Experience
. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

Accepted Equivalencies for Degree Requirement

UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:

  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four additional years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a student-serving role or an academic administrative role.
