Position Description

Position Title: Manager of Teaching and Assessment for Online Programs

Reports To: Executive Director of Online Learning

Department: Online Learning

Salary: $85,000–$100,000

Position Summary: This is an administrative, online teaching, learning and assessment specialist role. The primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of online programs, including quality assurance, faculty support for teaching and learning, and managing the opening and updating of courses for the University. Additional responsibilities include program-level assessment of faculty degrees and other online programs offered through the Online Learning department and the Professional Programs area.

Other administrative duties may be assigned, specifically for programs within Online Learning and Professional Programs. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Online Course Evaluation: Conduct faculty evaluation processes through course observation, review of class evaluation data, and LMS content review as assigned.
  • Report And Data Generation: Lead internal program self-studies, support programs with data, analysis and reports as needed; generate enrollment, retention, projections and grades and monitor course administration. Collaborate with staff to generate quality data and reports for operations, policies, and procedures as needed.
  • Assessment: Manage administrative and learning assessment planning and reporting for assigned areas; act as the main liaison for school, programs and institutional assessment; lead initiatives to measure and evaluate administrative and learning goals; gather and report data for program reports to University leadership.
  • Faculty Development And Support:Provide guidance to faculty on effective online teaching and learning practices; lead and coordinate faculty development opportunities each semester; assist in addressing teaching and learning concerns; build and sustain a faculty teaching and learning community that promotes continuous improvement in instructional quality and student support.
  • Program And Course Development And Support: Coordinate course update cycles and ensure online courses meet established standards; serve as a core member of the Online Teaching and Learning Office and support program operations through data tracking, course monitoring, and documentation related to enrollment, retention, and policy planning.
  • Other duties and special projects: As assigned.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree required;
    Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience with online programs and courses that include development, teaching and instructional design.
  • Project management experience, data collection and reporting.
