Unbound Academy is creating a completely virtual, tuition-free charter school that moves beyond traditional worksheets and centers learning around personal development. Students complete their core academics in two concentrated hours each day using AI-driven platforms. The remaining time is spent in interactive workshops designed to build life skills, spark curiosity, and nurture self-assurance.

In this position, you ll maintain momentum and ensure smooth operations. You ll guide students through transitions, foster engagement during small group sessions, and step in to encourage learners when they hit a roadblock. While you won t be delivering academic instruction, your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

• Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
• Encouraging student participation and boosting morale through chat messages, public recognition, and one-on-one check-ins
• Ensuring students remain engaged, confident, and socially connected throughout their learning sessions
• Supporting lead educators with operational tasks that ensure workshops proceed without disruption
• Serving as a positive cultural presence and trusted figure within student clubs and life skills programming

• Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter content
• Developing lesson plans or evaluating student assignments
• Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
• Remaining passive—this position requires active, energetic involvement

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated during every workshop session.

• Available to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth groups
• Educational background within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location may be anywhere)
• Excellent communication abilities and confidence using digital platforms
• Energetic, student-centered approach with attention to detail and seamless transitions

• Familiarity with online learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
• Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, or youth club leadership

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
