The instructors will teach online. Our students are around the globe. Applicants need to be able to work in the early mornings. Our major tutoring time is 6:00 am to 8:00 am CT. We will coordinate with you about the teaching time to find ones that work for both.
Salary & BenefitsSalary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: $20.00

Qualifications- Current UW-Madison student (with Work-Study preferred).
- Major in English, Education, Journalism, Humanities, or related fields.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a strong plus.
- Native English proficiency with excellent communication skills.
- Patient, energetic, and capable of working with younger students (Grades 1-8).
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet teaching environment.

- Expertise:
Strong background in English composition, literature, or education. - Instruction:
Ability to explain writing structures (e.g., thesis statements, topic sentences) clearly to younger students. - Engagement:
Capable of keeping an online class dynamic and interactive. - Tech:
Comfortable using Zoom and Google Drive for collaborative writing.
Job Duties
- Teach Online:
Conduct 1-on-1 (or small group) English Language Arts lessons via online meeting tool. - Engage Students:
Create a supportive and interactive learning environment to help students improve their reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills. - Lesson Planning:
Plan and customize lessons based on students' needs. - Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback on students' writing and progress.
Ability to sit in front of a computer and camera for one hour to conduct one teaching session.
