Job Description
The remote Credit Recovery Teacher is a highly qualified, state‑certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teach, support, and guide students, manage the learning process, and focus on individual student needs. Monitor progress through Stride K12’s learning management system and work closely with students, parents, and learning coaches to advance toward established learning goals. Teachers typically work from home but may need to travel for school functions such as state testing.

- Any active teaching certificate.
- If the current teaching certification is from another state, obtain reciprocity within Indiana within 60 days of employment.
- Strong preference for residents of Indiana
. - May consider residents of surrounding states (MI, OH, KY, IL).
- Salary range: $46,000 – $50,000 plus eligibility for a performance bonus.

Essential Functions- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Personalize learning for all students.
- Demonstrate belief in all students’ ability to succeed.
- Differentiates instruction based on student mastery level.
- Augments course content using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
- Maintain grade book ensuring academic integrity; make placement decisions and alert administrators of concerns.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and parents.
- Support learning coaches/parents with curricular issues and troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for professional development, testing, or school requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Clear approved background check.

- Collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to inform instruction.
- Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Rapidly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Experience with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in using technology.
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
This is a virtual position. The work environment is fully remote, requiring a professional home office and self‑management of a 40+ hour week. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face‑to‑face professional development and testing is required.
