At 2 Hour Learning, we operate a system in which students learn at twice the conventional rate within two hours each day. This performance is driven by AI-powered tutoring, mastery-based progression, and a deliberate break from traditional classroom design. The results speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can drive consistent execution across multiple school models, strengthen academic leadership standards, and serve as the public advocate for a movement built on sound learning science.
This role is not about academic theory. It is a leadership assignment. You will control the academic strategy in action, define explicit standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and develop high-performing teams to achieve concrete results. You will convert our research foundation into operational rigor and present this model to external audiences with authority.
What You Will Be Doing- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application development.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery across school teams.
- Analyzing data, conducting interviews, and observing classrooms to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensuring strategic alignment by establishing planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone tracking that keep focus on student learning outcomes.
- Serving as the external representative of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence global perspectives on education.
- Working on disconnected curriculum initiatives that lack systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Passing accountability for performance to middle managers or external consultants.
- Using institutional reputation or academic theory alone to win over critical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by driving consistent execution across schools, raising leadership performance standards, and serving as the authoritative voice for a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrable results.
Basic Requirements- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
- Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks
