* Key Responsibilities:

* * Deliver dynamic and interactive mathematics instruction to secondary school students (Grades 8-12) via a virtual learning platform.
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with the South African National Curriculum (CAPS).
* Utilize a variety of online teaching tools and technologies to create a stimulating and effective learning environment.
* Provide individual and small group tutoring to students needing additional support, identifying learning gaps and tailoring instruction accordingly.
* Grade assignments, tests, and projects promptly and provide constructive feedback to students.
* Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and engagement.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and the curriculum development team to enhance the online learning experience.
* Maintain accurate student records and monitor progress towards learning objectives.
* Stay current with best practices in online pedagogy and mathematics education.
* Contribute to the positive culture and development of the online learning community.
* Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
** Qualifications and

Experience:

* * Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant degree (e.g., BSc) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
* A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level, preferably with a specialization in Mathematics.
* Proven experience and comfort with online teaching platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Moodle, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and digital educational tools.
* Strong understanding of the CAPS curriculum for Mathematics.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adapted for a virtual environment.
* Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging online learning space.
* Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
* A reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment are essential.
