Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year; 7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months. This position offers remote work with a combination of onsite and home options based on department needs.

Job Summary

Provides case management advisement to an assigned caseload of students by Field of Interest under a Guided Pathways model, including advising prospective students. Supports student services programs, processes information, and refers students to resources, performing technically demanding support tasks and extensive advising responsibilities.

Essential Functions
  • 70%: Provides end‑to‑end academic advising to a caseload, supports retention and success through various communication modes, and identifies academic options. Monitors progress, provides outreach, escalates issues, and performs complex data operations such as degree progress reports.
  • 20%: Facilitates Guided Pathways activities, serves as an institutional resource, coordinates with departments, and provides training and interpretation of policies related to advising, retention, and success.
  • 10%: Analyzes and maintains student and program data, evaluates processes, and recommends improvements based on planning and assessment tools.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience with educational program development, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

OR an equivalent combination of the degree and directly related full‑time work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties, unless otherwise required by law.

Special Working Conditions

Travel to campus during interview and selection may be at candidate’s expense. Assignments may require travel to all MCCCD locations, nights, weekends, or prolonged computer screen time. The position may require lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs. Holds a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License and meets district driving standards.
