The University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan campus is hiring a permanent Testing Center Specialist. This position is essential in meeting the needs of individuals requiring placement testing, academic testing, and professional testing.
To thrive in this position, you will have the ability to understand and work with an academically, ethnically, and financially diverse student body. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, administrative skills, and the ability to solve problems independently are important. A high level of organizational skills, including fluency with technology, electronic record‑keeping, knowledge of advanced computer programs, and troubleshooting, is essential.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Position DetailsThis position is located on the Ketchikan campus in the University of Alaska Southeast. It is a full‑time, non‑exempt staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package, including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.

Search and selection procedures will be closed when a sufficient and viable number of qualified candidates have been identified. The University of Alaska reserves the right to require employees to work on‑site at its facilities. Hybrid and remote work may be approved for employees based in Alaska at the University's discretion;
remote work for employees based outside the State of Alaska may be approved only in exceptional circumstances or when required by the position's job duties.
