Testing Center Specialist

The University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan campus is hiring a permanent Testing Center Specialist. This position is essential in meeting the needs of individuals requiring placement testing, academic testing, and professional testing.

To thrive in this position, you will have the ability to understand and work with an academically, ethnically, and financially diverse student body. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, administrative skills, and the ability to solve problems independently are important. A high level of organizational skills, including fluency with technology, electronic record‑keeping, knowledge of advanced computer programs, and troubleshooting, is essential.

Associate’s degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This position is located on the Ketchikan campus in the University of Alaska Southeast. It is a full‑time, non‑exempt staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package, including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
