What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a reliable and motivated facilities or caretaking team member looking to take the next step in your career?

We are seeking a proactive Premises Officer to work alongside our Facilities Manager and Premises Assistant in maintaining a secure and well‑managed school site. This varied, hands‑on role offers the opportunity to develop skills in facilities management, health and safety and statutory compliance, supported by training and professional development.

In this key role, the successful candidate will demonstrate a practical and organised approach to site operations, with the ability to manage day‑to‑day tasks, coordinate works and support school activities and events. They will communicate effectively with a wide range of school stakeholders, including staff, contractors and visitors, and demonstrate clear and confident verbal communication skills.

The postholder will be a proactive, flexible and dependable individual, committed to maintaining a safe, secure and well‑managed school environment in line with the school’s ethos and values. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated and collaborative team that is committed to making a positive impact on students. By joining St John Bosco College, you will be part of a group of staff invested in continual professional development, which makes this a great opportunity to further develop your skills.
