Provides dynamic, visionary leadership in the school by creating educational options which lead to academic growth and achievement for all students through a thorough knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, supervision and evaluation, staff professional learning, community engagement, and positive school culture; implements a student-focused vision and collaborative leadership style to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
An Instructional Leader who takes a whole child approach to creating a positive school environment that addresses the needs of all students, maintains high academic expectations along with high levels of support, and actively creates systems that promote strong partnerships with parents.

- Demonstrates organizational leadership by strategically developing a vision and mission, leading change, enhancing the capacity of personnel, distributing resources, and aligning systems of communication for continuous school improvement

- Designs and utilizes structures and processes which result in family and community engagement and support

- Exercises reasonable and prudent leadership in crisis, political, and high-stakes situations
- Facilitates community, staff, and student meetings as required or needed and attend school board meetings and conferences as directed by the Superintendent or designee
- Facilitates the design and use of a variety of communication strategies with all stakeholders
- Fosters a collaborative culture of job-embedded professional learning
- Fosters a positive school culture and promote safety and equity for all students, staff, and community
- Has a working understanding of online platforms like Accelerate and how to support students with online learning
- Holds all staff accountable for setting and achieving measurable student outcomes
- Initiates and collaborates with staff and stakeholders to implement strategies for change to improve student outcomes
- Links professional growth to professional goals
- Manages student discipline in a consistent manner and provides follow-up information to staff and parents/guardians
