Are you an experienced educator who wants to contribute to the growth of future professional educators? Kalamazoo Valley has an opportunity for you. We are seeking an Education Field Placement Coach to coordinate and oversee students’ visits to area school district classrooms in order to gain relevant field experience.

• Contact area administrators and teachers to arrange visits for KVCC students to public school classrooms, where they observe professional educators and have the opportunity to teach mini‑lessons.
• Meet with KVCC students to coordinate and assign visits so that placements align with their interests.
• Prepare KVCC students for visits by assisting them in lesson‑plan and instructional‑plan development.
• Conduct observations of KVCC students teaching mini‑lessons during their field placement.
• Hold individual meetings with students to share observations and provide feedback on the lessons taught.
• Facilitate large‑group discussions of students’ field‑work experiences.

Appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. A Bachelor’s degree in education and two years of related prior work experience are typically expected.
