Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct expert‑level SAT Essay scoring and backreading, ensuring accuracy and reliability of scores.
  • Monitor scoring patterns, identify discrepancies, and provide feedback to maintain scoring quality.
  • Develop and review ACCUPLACER and ACCUPLACER ESL content, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Conduct research to support federal submission requirements and enhance scoring processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to communicate complex scoring issues and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent education and experience in English, English education, writing, or a closely related field.
  • Four to six years of experience in standardized, large‑scale K–12 or K–16 direct writing assessment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Solid organizational, time‑management, and task‑management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the middle, secondary, or postsecondary levels.
  • In‑depth exposure to state and national curriculum standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new scoring technologies.
  • Willingness to travel nationally to support scoring operations.
