PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Adjunct Instructor, with a minimum qualification of a Master's Degree (minimum 18 credit hours in the
appropriate course subject) from an accredited institution, and commitment to teaching online in a Historically Black College and
University (HBCU).

Kentucky State University Online is seeking qualified individuals to join our adjunct pool of online instructors for the following
subjects:

• English

• Math

• Communication

• History

• Criminal Justice

• Business

• Computer Science

• Cybersecurity

• Interdisciplinary Studies

• Psychology

• Sociology

• Biology

• Nursing

• Cultural Studies

• Aquaculture

• Leadership

• Political Science

• Accounting

• Public Administration

• Environmental Science

• Public Health

• Data Analytics

• Management

• Engineering

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Teaching courses online as defined by the KYSU Online Faculty Manuel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Duties including but not limited to teaching eight-week online courses.

• Maintain grade and attendance records.

• Attendance at adjunct faculty meetings as scheduled.

• Learn and correctly apply KYSU Online policies and procedures.

• Participate in the adjunct faculty evaluation process.

• Maintain regular and substantive interaction with online students.

OTHER DUTIES:
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must submit a letter of application including graduate transcript(s), curriculum vitae, and

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Master's Degree or higher in the teaching subject, online teaching experience, and/or online
teaching certification preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
