Job SummaryThe Department of Psychology seeks an undergraduate student assistant for the spring semester to support faculty and student activities.
Responsibilities- Coordinate student activities for the spring and fall semesters.
- Assist with grade‑book entry and error checking.
- Support faculty with research tasks, data entry, and alumni tracking.
- Assist during group advising sessions.
- Student major or minor in psychology, or preferred junior or senior with a psychology background.
- Basic understanding of research methodology and statistics.
- Clear and effective communication skills with faculty and staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in verbal, written, research, Excel, Word, and email communication.
- Capability to create professional flyers for activities/events and to use social media for advertising.
- Prompt, reliable, and presentable.
- Ability to balance academics with work responsibilities.
- Good academic standing and full‑time enrollment.
- Adherence to a set work schedule and communication of any shift conflicts.
- Completion of PSYC 2127 (Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences).
Proposed salary: $8.25 per hour. Position allows up to 19 hours per week in person during normal business hours; no evening, weekend, or remote work.
