Part-Time Faculty: SPA 301-302 Spanish (Spring 2026)

Application open until filled. Position is part-time faculty for spring 2026 semester. Appointment begins January 5, 2026 with classes beginning January 12, 2026.
The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics seeks part-time instructors to teach three-credit sections of SPA 301 (Approaches to Reading Texts) and one three-credit section of SPA 302 (Advanced Language Usage).
CompensationPay Range: $1,440 – $1,800 per credit hour. Salary offers based on education, experience, and skills.
Hours & Commitments- As determined by department/chair.
- Office hours required.
- In-person presence required; remote work limited.
- Master’s Degree required.
- Native or near-native fluency required.
- Experience in university-level teaching preferred.
- Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering books and materials in advance.
- Preparing lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
- Maintaining office hours of two hours per week.
- Presenting instruction based on class competencies.
- Meeting all scheduled class periods; reschedule or obtain substitute if unable to attend.
- Notifying department chair of any absence and plan to cover class.
- Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
- Submitting mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to regulations.
- Grading assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
- Completing all other course-related duties as outlined by department policies.
- Building a positive rapport with students and faculty.
