Position Summary

This Teaching Assistant offers support for delivering an undergraduate online course by assisting with marking assignments, quizzes, meeting with students, and answering emails from students. There is a final assignment due the last week of classes; TAs must be available for final assignment marking. TAs supporting online classes are expected to meet with the instructor via Zoom.

Position Requirements
  • Must be a registered M.F.A, MA, or 4th-year student at the University of Regina.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to mark student assignments, including essays.
  • Familiarity with UR Courses, APA, MLA, Chicago Citation, and Turnitin are required.
  • Preference will be given to senior undergraduate students or graduate students in MAP, Education, Arts, or students with related academic experience.
Physical Demands

Physical Demands:
Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419. Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement. Status Term.

Work Hours:

Hours are flexible and will be determined by the instructor in consultation with the successful candidate, up to 48 hours – each section (a maximum of 1 hour per registered student). Any additional hours over 48 hours must be approved by the Associate Dean UG first.
