ANSEP is looking for a motivated and dedicated Student Assistant 2 Support Staff member to join our team for the Academic Year. Our department is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment, which you will play a vital role. You will support ANSEP staff with general maintenance of the ANSEP Building, as well as ANSEP students in accessing our facilities.
This position works closely with the ANSEP University Success Director and the ANSEP Building Manager to help with set up and execution of various activities and events at the ANSEP Building.
- Monday 6pm/7pm – 11pm
- Tuesday 6pm – 11pm
- Thursday 5pm – 11pm
- Friday 3pm – 11pm
- Saturday 3pm – 10pm
- Sunday 8am – 10pm
To excel in this role, you must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision, understand and apply the ANSEP Building policies, and maintain a professional attitude at all times. Your ability to work well with others and adapt to various student needs makes you an ideal candidate for this position.
Minimum Qualifications- Applicants must be 17 years or older
- Be currently enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters
- Have at least a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
- Experience working with rural and/or Indigenous Alaska populations preferred
- Must be able to lift or move 25 to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a student position hired for the academic year. This is a pooled position and applications are reviewed as needed. Submission of an application does not guarantee review or a job offer.
