Shape the future of digital entertainment with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). We’re looking for a passionate data‑driven and creative digital professional to join our team in Singapore as Senior Executive Digital Strategy & New Media. This role will play a key part in shaping SPE’s digital strategy across Asia Pacific, driving innovation in direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) and new media channels and uncovering emerging opportunities in the fast‑evolving digital distribution landscape.

What

You’ll Do

You’ll work closely with the VP Digital Strategy & New Media Asia Pacific and the Executive Director New Media & Transactional to support the growth and evolution of SPE’s DTC channels (APV FAST & AVOD), while helping to expand our digital distribution business in the region and vet and uncover emerging digital distribution opportunities.

Digital Strategy and New Media
  • Be a subject matter expert on You Tube and provide best‑practice advice and guidance to territory teams to achieve their revenue goals.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing comprehensive digital strategies that drive SPE business growth.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional teams, analyze performance data and stay ahead of digital trends to ensure SPE’s digital strategy is innovative, effective and aligned with overall business goals.
  • Be hyper‑focused on interpreting You Tube data and how it can be utilized, leveraged and referenced to drive commercial opportunities for SPE.
  • Continue the roll‑out of DTC channels including Amazon Prime Video and FAST channels across the APAC region, finding efficiencies between regional and local teams.
  • Identify best practice, share and work with local teams to implement.
  • Bring generational insight to SPE’s distribution in APAC and recommend new go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Manage stakeholders in the APAC region and global teams.
  • Interpret market data and commercial indicators to make recommendations to the VP, ED and wider distribution teams.
  • Work closely with the VP and ED and contribute to various commercial projects as needed.
Operational DTC Channels Development & Digital Distribution

Proactively engage stakeholders in the home office (London, Miami) and local sales and marketing teams for DTC channels business and other digital distribution explorations in the region.

  • Work with the local team & research team to collate information on FAST and APV.
  • Support local sales team on early exploration of clip licensing, non‑DRM licensing and other/new digital distribution opportunities.
  • Work closely with vendors to maximize the You Tube channel exploration in APAC, ensuring vendors are working efficiently and are briefed to ensure ROI for SPE.
  • Confirm clips programming calendar created by vendor, ensuring we have rights for the titles in respective territories.
  • Work with the DCS team to provide subtitle files & local dubbing video files to vendor.
  • Work with the Sales Planning & Operations (SP&O) team to clear the Non‑DRM features & series for the region and maximize the exploitation of such features & series.
  • Work with the vendors and SPE team to retain the clips created for You Tube and other social media platforms in Runner.
  • Work with the global creative content team to clear value‑added materials to be posted on You Tube and other social media platforms.
  • Constantly ideate and iterate as new data and new forms of distribution emerge.
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Business (preferred).
  • Typically 3–5 years of previous experience working in a similar role – media programming, social research.
  • Experience and understanding of multiple APAC markets, cultures and languages with a good global perspective.
  • Knowledge of licensing and digital distribution rights.
  • Experience developing, implementing and optimizing digital strategies to drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of DTC channels and experience managing third‑party vendors.
  • Experience and ability to process large volumes of data and intelligence into meaningful commercial outcomes.
  • Passionate about content emerging platforms and discovery.
